Good afternoon, friends!

Today is our last one competition work– crocheted boots made of hexagons, presented again by Larisa Sankevich.

Although these are not exactly slippers, they are, in principle, also house shoes. Very beautiful comfortable boots felt sole.

There will be diagrams and descriptions, so you can make yourself such unusual and stylish shoes.

Crochet house boots: knitting description

I used half-woolen yarn, still post-Soviet, with the addition of polyester thread for strength and wear resistance.

Hook - No. 4.

The boots are knitted and assembled from hexagonal motifs. In total you need to knit 10 motifs (5 pieces for each boot).

Let's start with them.

Hexagonal motifs

The pattern for crocheting boot motifs is in front of you.

In the first three rows we knit a flower using single crochet stitches.

In the fourth to sixth rows, tying the flower with columns, we get a hexagon.

We knit rows 1, 4-6 with a thread of one color, rows 2 and 3 with another.

The resulting motif fits size 36-37. If you need more (can be attached to the finished insole), then I add the height of the loops in 5-6 rows: instead of a half double crochet, I knit a double crochet, or I knit another 7th row.

Assembling motifs

We sew the motifs together using single crochets in the order shown in the diagram below.

Along the bottom edge of the boot we knit 2 rows with single crochets, and in the corners between the motifs - with double crochets; on the toe you need to increase 2 loops in each row.

I make a binding along the upper edge of the boot.

Sole

As a basis, I take ready-made felt insoles of the required size.

I cast on a chain of about 20 loops (depending on the size) and knit an oval on them in a circle with double crochets (3-4 rows) until the width of the oval is equal to the width of the insole.

Then I attach the thread in the middle of the oval and knit in rows back and forth only the sock, trying the sole to the insole and making additions where necessary.

The last row is around the entire circle to even out the edge of the sole.

I sew the sole to the boot, then turn the boot inside out and sew a felt insole to the sole.

When worn, the sewn insole does not move or break. You can make the sole like in tank slippers, but I prefer store-bought insoles (they come with a rubberized layer and with water-repellent cellophane).

These are the wonderful crocheted house boots Larisa made from hexagons with a felt sole.

Thank you, Larisa, for participating in the competition and the wonderful things you made with your own hands!

Friends, our competition is over. I really liked him! Just a little more patience and literally one of these days I will publish the results.

Shoes have been an integral part of our lives since the dawn of civilization. Residents of hot Greece, Egypt and Italy wore sandals; in the cold northern Scandinavian latitudes, fur boots were very popular. In Japan, they wore geta, which was a little stool; the ancient Scythians and Sarmatians preferred narrow leather boots with a felt insole. Shoes were made from wood, fur, various fabrics, leather, papyrus, straw and even palm leaves. The rich finish and material of the shoes emphasized the status of the owner. Noble and wealthy people decorated it with embroidery and precious stones. In ancient China, upper-class girls had up to 16 pairs of shoes in their dowries for various occasions.

Now in the wardrobe of every fashionista there are at least a dozen pairs of shoes, boots, ballet flats, sandals and ankle boots for different seasons and events. Fashion houses led by famous designers create new original collections every year. At the same time, you can make a unique pair of shoes with your own hands, just know how to crochet. Handicraft masters create very beautiful crocheted boots both for going out and for making their feet feel comfortable at home.

You can crochet boots for both cold autumn and hot summer. For the cool season, they use dense patterns and thick yarn, and for the warm season it will be an openwork product made of light cotton threads in which the legs will breathe. If desired, they are decorated with various laces, ribbons, beads, beads, rhinestones and buckles.

It is very important to choose the right sole when knitting. The best option the sole will become off old couple shoes in which the foot felt comfortable, or, if you are planning a version without heels, purchase inexpensive slippers and knit boots based on them. In the first case, you will need to tie the sole and glue or sew it to the old last.

Tying can also be done in several ways. Sew the finished sole with the selected threads, knit 1 row of st. without crochet and knit according to the chosen pattern. Or take a ready-made thin insole and tie it with st. without crochet, knit according to the pattern, and then glue it to the finished sole.

For the shaft, heel and upper part of the toe, almost any pattern from dense zigzags and ribbon lace, to the fillet mesh. At the same time, the toe and heel need to be strengthened; you can take them to a shoe workshop for this, starch them or knit them by adding strong fishing line to the yarn.

For those who know how to crochet booties, it will not be difficult to knit boots. The only difference will be in the size of the product. Below are several patterns for knitting a boot. The toe of the boot can be knitted together with the entire product, adding loops to expand the fabric, or knitted as a separate part and attached afterwards.

When making crocheted boots with your own hands, it is important to periodically try on the product on the foot and adjust the size of the knitted parts as necessary. You can also make a mannequin for ease of work. To do this you need to wear nylon sock, wrap your leg very tightly with several layers of tape. Cut the resulting structure and glue it together, maintaining the volume. Fill with stuffing material.

And one more important point. All steps when knitting the first boot must be written down so that the second one turns out similar.

Continue working with the main thread. Knit 4 rows in the round. For the next 7 rows, decrease by 3 stitches until the hole is slightly larger than the circumference of your ankle. Knit 2 rows without decreasing. Then knit 22 rows with increases (2 double crochet stitches with one base) until the girth of the boot matches the girth of the shin.

Lapels. Knit 6 rows with an elastic band. Last row of st. without a crochet. Turn down.

Knit the lace according to the pattern. Its length on the model is 60 cm. It varies if more or less turns around the boot are needed.

Attach the lace as in the photo, glue the knitted part to the finished shoe last. Insert the insole. To make the boot fit better on the foot, the heel and toe can be starched.

Very light boots with fillet mesh.

You will need:

  • 200 g cotton threads;
  • Hook No. 2 - 2.5.

The toe and heel are knitted st. without crochet similar previous versions, the boot is knitted with fillet mesh (1 double crochet stitch + 1 chain stitch). Tie the top with 3 rows of stitches. without a crochet.

Knitting boots for indoors or outdoors is not that difficult, especially if you don’t use complex patterns when creating them. How to crochet boots for beginners with step by step description and diagrams, see below.

Preparing materials

First you need to prepare necessary materials. The yarn can be wool, half-woolen, acrylic, cotton, mixed. It is selected depending on the time of year for which the boots are knitted, their patterns and models. The hook should be the same thickness as the thread, or 1.5 times larger.

The pattern layout may vary. There are also very difficult ones for experienced craftswomen and very simple - for beginners.

The more yarn overs in the pattern, the more openwork the product will be. Such models are best chosen for summer.

Boots can be made from ready-made motifs, for example, from granny squares. For them, you need to tie on the required number of fragments in advance and connect them to the sole and to each other using thread and needle or connecting posts.

The sole can be simply tied. But you can use denser materials. For example, leather, felt, rubber.

For boots with insoles, you need to purchase them a size larger than your desired size. Use an awl to make holes at a distance of 0.5 cm from the edge of the insole and from each other. Through the resulting holes, tie the entire insole along the edge with single crochets. At the same time, knit 2 stitches into each hole. The insole can be tied with yarn on top to make it softer and denser. You can also add padding polyester between the leather and the knitted layer. This is especially true in boots for a baby.

More often, for these purposes, not a leather insole is used, but a felt one. It is also selected one size larger and tied in the same way. For boots with felt soles, synthetic winterizer may not be used.

If you are knitting shoes for the street, then the soles can be borrowed from sneakers or slippers. It is desirable that it be rubberized. Then it is easy to pierce it with an awl and tie it.

For the little ones

Knitted boots for babies are called booties. They can be thin and lacy for summer or thick and warm for winter. These shoes are especially suitable for newborns - warm, comfortable, light. The sole can be simply knitted or felt. The yarn is as natural as possible, but not prickly, but soft.

Step-by-step description with photos:

Cast on 15 chain stitches (VP). Insert the hook into the 4th loop of the chain from the hook and knit 3 rows according to the pattern:

Using a different color, knit a single crochet loop in each stitch. As a result, there should be 56 loops. Knit the fifth row in the same way.

Using the color used to knit the sole, start knitting the cones (2 VP, 2 unfinished stitches, 1 VP).

Skip 1 stitch and knit another cone. Connect 1 VP. And thus finish the entire row.

Also knit row 7.

Having marked the middle, start knitting the toe with white yarn. Insert the hook into the back wall of the loop and knit a white bump from 2 unfinished loops. Next, knit them from 3 unfinished loops to the middle. There should be 14 pieces. Knit the last cone from 2 unfinished loops.

Unfold the knitting and continue knitting cones (7 pcs.). Connect them.

Tie 4 cones. Finish the row in the same way.

In this way, knit 2 more rows and change the color. Knit 3 VPs in each stitch.

For adults

This master class covers knitting boots from hexagons. The boots are suitable for adults. The size can be changed by increasing or decreasing the hook number.

Pattern and description of knitting motif:

Pattern and description of knitting the sole:

Assembly and diagram of the top bar:

This model can be of any desired height. Depending on the number of motifs, footprints or boots are obtained.

Grandma's way

Another way to knit boots from motifs is to use granny squares. Patterns for knitting them can be any complex or simple, plain or multi-colored.

First you need to tie a felt insole. Knit 3-4 rows of single crochets.

Knit 26 motifs using the pattern you like. For each boot you will need 13 pieces. For foot size 37, the squares should have a side of 8 cm. Examples of patterns:

In this master class, 8 pink and 18 gray motifs are knitted. Two gray squares have 2 sides tied with an additional row of double crochets.

Arrange the motives as in the figure:

Sew the squares into stripes, and then the strips together. Between motifs 9 and 12, sew one of the squares with an additional row of double crochets.

If suddenly the boots are a little small, using the same square they can be enlarged by adding rows of double crochets.

Sew the boot to the sole using an overcast stitch from the wrong side. Tie the top of the boot reverse row single crochets.

Knitted items, especially shoes, have always attracted attention. You can knit wonderful boots with crochet or knitting. For beginning craftsmen, there are a lot of diagrams with step-by-step descriptions that will help you make slippers, boots or boots with your own hands.

Knitted items, especially shoes, have always attracted attention

Knitted experienced needlewoman house boots cannot but be praised. But a novice needlewoman is recommended to use detailed diagrams such work.

The “shoe” type of knitting cannot be called easy, which is why, in order to make shoes like slippers or boots at home, it is important to follow the instructions step by step.

  1. First you need to prepare materials for work. It is recommended to use wool blend yarn. A product made from it will not wear out for a long time and will be quite warm. You should also choose a hook and insole. Any insole will do.
  2. Technique of work in in this case– knitting with motifs. Need to link hexagonal motifs 5 for each boot. In total we knit 10 motifs.
  3. The chain is made of 5 air loops, which then need to be closed in a row.
  4. Next, to lift the work, 4 air loops should be added in each subsequent row.
  5. To make the boots openwork, the loops need to be knitted with yarn overs. But there should not be too many of them, otherwise the product will not be warm.
  6. When 5 rows have been knitted, you can continue knitting with a different color of yarn. This way the work will look more attractive. But this is not necessary.
  7. To knit a regular hexagon, you should pay attention to the working diagram (below).
  8. Next, all 5 motives need to be connected. Stitching occurs on the wrong side to disguise the seam. The columns are tied without a crochet.
  9. On the sole should be done circular movements awl In total approximately 50-55 holes should be made.
  10. Then the insole is knitted with yarn in two rows.
  11. The slippers are tied to the insole.

Crochet slippers for beginners

This product is very practical, especially in winter. If you wear such slippers at home, your feet will hardly get cold. The same children's slippers can be knitted in the summer.

Master class:

  1. First you need to prepare the insoles, which will become the basis of future slippers. They are pierced with an awl. This is done so that it is possible to thread a thread through the holes and sew the insole to the product. About 50 holes are made.
  2. Yarn is then threaded through each hole. 2 posts are made in each hole. It is important to knit the second slipper with thread symmetrically.
  3. A thread is threaded into the back wall of the loop and tying begins in a row with ordinary posts. Threads are not made.
  4. So you need to knit 3 circular rows. Loops are not added to the row. The thread then breaks.
  5. Then a different color of yarn should be used in the work. This will decorate the product. With this yarn the previous two steps are repeated.
  6. Next, straight turning rows are knitted. The product should rise up. Knitting occurs on 8 front loops, which are located in front.
  7. Next, the yarn is connected to the edge of the slipper. All stitches are knitted single crochet. At this stage it is recommended to try on slippers.

If desired, you can decorate the product, for example, with embroidery.

DIY shoes with soles: knitting cute boots

Knitted shoes with soles are considered the most durable. It is durable, as the sole hardly wears out.

Work on such a thing should consist of the following successive stages:

  1. The first step is preparation necessary materials and tools. Beginners are not recommended to knit boots with yarn soles different colors, since it will be an order of magnitude more difficult. In addition to the yarn, a hook, a large needle, an awl and, in fact, a sole are prepared. It is better to use a rubber sole as a basis. Why rubber? Firstly, it is durable, and secondly, it is quite easy to pierce it with an awl.
  2. In order for the product to be warm and dense, it is recommended to knit it with a thread folded in half. Alternatively, you can use 2 skeins of yarn at once.
  3. A chain of air loops is knitted. The chain should be equal to the distance from the toe of the slipper to the tongue. For beginners, it is recommended to tie a chain 2 cm more than this distance.
  4. The row is knitted with regular posts. Yarn overs should not be done.
  5. Next, the number of loops increases by adding 2 additional loops in the row. In the place where the toe becomes smaller, loops should no longer be added.
  6. The places on the product where the loops will need to be reduced are pierced with pins. At this stage, it is recommended to immediately make the same part for another boot. They should turn out the same.
  7. The back part of the product is knitted. Work begins with a set of chain of air loops. Then the 2 parts are connected to each other.
  8. Using a large needle, stitching is done on the sole, in which holes were previously made with an awl. The stitches are then crocheted.

Knitted shoes with soles are considered the most durable

At the last stage knitted product must be attached to the base sole.

What materials should be prepared?

  • Yarn. Wool blend yarn is considered universal for knitting boots. But if desired, the master can use another thread, for example, terry or acrylic thread.
  • Awl. It pierces the rubber sole or insole.
  • Big needle. Using a needle, thread stitches are made on the sole.
  • Hook. Crochet is used to knit pillars and motifs.

Wool blend yarn is considered universal for knitting boots.

Basic rules for knitting shoes

  • You should not use low-quality materials in your work. A beautiful and practical product can only be obtained if the master has given preference good material. If he wants to carry boots, boots or slippers for a long time, then he should not skimp on yarn.
  • For knitting openwork sections and motifs, it is recommended to use small hook. Openwork knitting will allow the product to be well ventilated. But if a craftsman wants to knit winter slippers that he needs to warm his feet, then he shouldn’t knit using the openwork method.

Do not use low-quality materials in your work

In order to knit shoes that fit well, it is important to first take measurements of the foot. Knitting by eye will not work here. This rule is especially important to observe when knitting products that fit tightly to the leg, for example, ballet shoes.

  • As a base sole, you can use not only the cut out bottom of the shoe, but also the insoles. On sale you can find insoles with sheepskin, which are perfect for winter products.
  • To ensure that knitted shoes are better attached to the base sole, it is recommended to use glue. You should wear boots only after it has completely dried.
  • You should not sew shoes to the sole with regular threads. They are not strong enough. It's better to use twine.
  • An awl should always be used in such work. This tool is very convenient for making holes in the sole through which the yarn is pulled.

To knit winter boots, you can use moccasin soles as a base.
