29th PR: KP, *15 RL, N* (knit alternately from * to the end of PR), KP. At the end of the increase there are 103 loops on the needle. The diameter of the resulting circle is 13.5 cm (see photo below).

Advice. If you need a larger hat, continue knitting with yarn overs, gradually forming a larger circle.

2. Close the knitting in the KR and begin to form the crown (main part) of the hat.

3. Continue knitting the crown of the KR in garter stitch without increasing.

4. Once the required height of the product has been reached, you can
knit the lapel of the hat. To do this, knit another 4 cm with a 2x2 or 1x1 elastic band and bind off the loops;
tie the ears with ties.

How to knit ears with ties:
1. Determine the width of the frontal part using the formula ¼ of the total number of loops, i.e. 103/4≈28 (always take an even number of loops)
2. Continue working with stockinette stitch. Knit a row in the following sequence: 38 LP, bind off the middle 28 loops, 37 LP.
3. Knit stitch 6 PR. On each turn row, knit 2 stitches together at the end of the row. Be careful: you should remove 3 loops on each side!

3. Determine the width of the back part using the formula ¼ of the total number of loops, i.e. 75/4≈19
4. Knit a row in the following sequence: 28 LP, bind off the middle 19 loops, 28 LP.
5. Continue knitting the ears, working in parallel with two separate skeins of yarn. On each row, knit 2 stitches together at the end of the row. When the number of loops reaches 4, continue knitting without decreasing, knitting cords of the required length.

6. Sew the crown of the hat. Decorate the product at your own discretion.

46-48.

To work you will need:
Yarn, color blue. Composition: 100% wool. Weight - 50 g, footage - 80 m.
Circular knitting needles #4

Abbreviations used in the description:
IP - purl loop
LP - facial loop
KR - circular row

Job description:
1. Cast on 74 stitches on the needles. Distribute the loops to form a circle. The cast-on edge should be located in the center of the resulting circle, and the loops should not twist.

3. Knit according to pattern #1 to the required height. To determine the height of the crown, use the formula: height of the cap (cm) – ½ the diameter of the bottom/crown, i.e.
hat height - 18 cm (see table at the beginning of the article)
diameter of the bottom/crown - 13.5; hence ½ of the bottom diameter is 6.5 cm
crown height, cm: 18-6.5=11.5

4. To knit the bottom/crown of the hat, continue working with stockinette stitch:
Divide the total number of loops by 6: 74/6=12 (+2 stitches in the rest). For ease of work, knit in rotating rows.
1st PR: 10 LP, 2 LP together, 11 LP, 2 LP together, 10 LP, 2 LP together, 10 LP, 2 LP together, 11 LP, 2 LP together, 10 LP, 2 LP together. After decreasing there are 68 stitches on the needle.
2nd and all subsequent even PR: IP.
3rd PR: 21 LP, 2 LP together, 32 LP, 2 LP together, 11 LP. After decreasing there are 66 stitches on the needle.
5th PR: alternately 9 LPs, 2 LPs together until the end of PR. After decreasing there are 60 stitches on the needle.
7th PR: alternately 8 LPs, 2 LPs together until the end of PR. After decreasing there are 54 loops on the needle.
9th PR: alternately 7 LPs, 2 LPs together until the end of PR. After decreasing there are 48 stitches on the needle.
Knit, gradually removing stitches at the end of each wedge, until there are 18 loops left on the knitting needle. Pull the remaining loops together with the cut working thread and secure. Sew the product.

3. Form the back of the head. To do this, cast on 20 loops between the ears. After combining the parts on the knitting needle - 88 loops (34 eyelet loops - 20 cast-on loops - 34 eyelet loops). Continue knitting the PR with a 2x2 rib. Recommended height of the back of the head is 2 cm (9 rows).
4. To form the frontal part of the hat, cast on 40 loops between the ears and close the KR. There are 128 loops on the knitting needle. Continue knitting the KR with a 2x2 rib. As soon as the height of the part reaches 5 cm (19 rows) from the cast-on edge, start knitting the crown of the hat.
5. For the convenience of working with the main pattern, move the beginning of the CD to the left by knitting five loops with a 2x2 elastic band (according to the pattern). The beginning of the rapport corresponds to the 6th cast-on loop at the back of the head. It is this loop that will later become 1 loop of the KR.
6. To avoid reducing the volume of the cap, make increases according to the following scheme: *1 LP, 1 LSP, 1 LP, 1 LSP, 2 LP, 1 LSP, 1 LP, 1 LSP, 1 LP, 1 IP, 1 ISP, 1 IP, 2 LP, 2 IP, 2 LP, 1 IP, 1 ISP, 1 IP; continue from * (repeat 8 times). At the end of the KR there are 176 loops on the knitting needle.
7. Knit the crown of the hat according to the “Main Pattern” pattern; the pattern repeat will be repeated 8 times. Knit even KRs, focusing on the pattern of the fabric. The height of the fabric with braids is 26 rows.
8. Having knitted the specified number of rows, begin knitting the crown of the hat.

Tip: If knitting the crown while maintaining the pattern is too difficult for you, switch to stockinette stitch and knit the crown using one of the methods described above.

Knitted children's minion hat for a boy: diagram with description

The minion hat is one of the most favorite models of boys from 2 to 102 years old.

Abbreviations used:
LP - facial loop
LPS - crossed facial loop

Job description:
1. Knit a hat based on the MK presented above. Basic knitting: knit or garter stitch.
2. By and large, the main difficulty arises in the process of decorating the hat. This is where we will stop. The minion's eye consists of several separately connected parts: a white circle, a gray frame, and a pupil.
3. The white circle is knitted from the center using stocking needles:

Depending on the size of the hat, you can stop at this stage or continue further, increasing the diameter of the circle. Close the loops. Sew the piece to the hat. If your minion has two eyes, you need to knit 2 white parts.
4. The gray frame of glasses is also knitted with stocking needles in stockinette stitch.
Cast on row: number of loops = quantity closed loops white part + 5 loops. If you finished with 45 stitches, then cast on 50 stitches (45+5)
Knit 6 rows. Close the loops. Finished part twist with a roller and sew along the circumference of the white circle.
For the pupil, use a button or felt circle.
5. Attach several black threads to the top of the head to imitate minion hair.

Knitted tanker helmet hat for a boy: diagram with description

Crocheted tanker helmet hat.

If you carefully studied the MKs presented above, knitting the “Tanker Helmet” hat will not be difficult.

1. Knit a standard hat with ears, using the tutorial for knitting a hat from the top of the head. Main knitting: knit.

Please note: the tanker's helmet has a flap in the back of the headdress! You can knit it separately and then sew it onto the hat, securing it with buttons. When unscrewed, the valve will protect the child's neck.

2. Separately knit the overlays: 2 round overlays for the ears, 1 overlay for the forehead, 4 longitudinal overlays. To add additional volume, the linings should be filled with padding polyester or holofiber.
3. Round pads
cast-on row: cast on 9 loops, while knitting, distribute onto 3 knitting needles (3 loops each).
Alternately: 1 LP, 1 LP from the broach. After adding 18 loops on the knitting needles.
Alternately: 2 LPs, 1 LPs from the broach. After adding 27 loops on the knitting needles.
Alternately: 3 LPs, 1 LPs from the broach. After adding 36 loops on the knitting needles.
Alternately: 4 LPs, 1 LPs from the broach. After adding 45 stitches on the knitting needles.
Depending on the size of the hat, you can stop at this stage or continue further, increasing the diameter of the circle. If the diameter of the circle suits you, knit 1 KR without any additions. Close the loops. Sew the piece to the hat, not forgetting to fill it with filler.
4. The forehead pad is a rectangle. You should knit the piece based on the size of your product. The overlay should also be filled with filler (during the sewing process).
5. Tie the longitudinal overlays: 2 - slightly longer (for the middle part of the head) and 2 - slightly shorter (located in the temporal part of the headdress). Longitudinal linings are long strips, 3 to 5 cm wide (depending on the size of the hat). Sew on the overlays.
6. A special Velcro fastener can be used to secure the “ears.”

Knitted stocking hat for a boy: diagram with description. Knitted beanie hat for a boy: knitting pattern

The simplest description possible.

The hat is knitted on stocking or circular knitting needles. Yarn is selected based on personal preference. The number of knitting needles (circular or double needles) must correspond to the number specified in the manufacturer's recommendations. The video at the beginning of the article will tell you how to correctly calculate the required number of loops.

Main stages of work:
1. Cast on the required number of stitches, knit the first row of the cast-on edge, close the circular row.
2. Continue knitting the hat using the “Rib 1x1” or “Rib 2x2” pattern.
3. An adult size requires a product length of at least 30 cm. For a children's hat, the length must be determined independently, based on personal preferences.
4. Once the length of the product has reached the required length, close the loops.
5. Form the crown by gathering the edge of the hat into folds (number of folds: 4 or 6)
6. Secure each fold with a stitch. Tuck the seams inside.
7. Fasten all the threads, cut off the knots.

Winter hat for boy

During the cold period, the main thing for the baby is to keep his head warm; this is suitable for this purpose. knitted hat knitting needles for boys. For knitting, it is advisable to use natural yarn made from 100% wool. Below is the process of knitting a winter hat for a boy. If you mix acrylic and wool, the hat will turn out to be autumn or spring. These are the easiest hats for boys to knit.

To calculate the number of loops, you will need to know the volume of the child's head. The dependence of the volume of a child’s head on age is presented in the table, which also demonstrates, by the presence of a photo in it, the correctness of measuring the volume of the head.
Children's winter hats are usually insulated with a fleece lining. Before we begin to implement a unique hat, we select tools and materials:

  • straight or circular knitting needles;
  • decorative elements (buttons);
  • two-color yarn;
  • scissors;
  • needle.

Now you can take measurements:

  • measure the head circumference;
  • we knit a sample of size 10 sts × 20 r;
  • measure the length of the sample in cm and find out the number of stitches. for the hat, using the measured volume of the boy's head.

Knitting a hat for a boy is provided with a detailed description. Using knitting needles, cast on the approximate number of buttonholes (80-100). If you have experience knitting with circular knitting needles, then use them. if there is none, then we will burn it out with ordinary knitting needles, which will give an equally interesting and high-quality result. We knit with a simple pattern - stocking stitch, 15 centimeters from the beginning of work we knit with this pattern (on the front side we knit with buttonholes, on the wrong side with knit buttonholes). In order for the hat to fit tightly on the head, we make decreases. For this purpose, we divide the entire work into eight equal segments, which we will call wedges. At the beginning of each wedge we make decreases, knitting two stitches. together at the beginning of each wedge. We make such decreases in each strip of the front stitch.
When there are eight buttonholes left on the knitting needle, it is worth cutting off the tail of the thread with some margin. Time to use a needle and pull these 8 loops into a small ring. We sew the edges of the work, hiding the seam on the wrong side. The stitching pattern is located below.

The main part of the hat is ready, all that remains is to knit the visor and ears. We knit the ears in stocking stitch. Having knitted 10 centimeters, you can proceed to rounding them. To do this, knit two loops along the edges of the ears together with a knit stitch. We make such decreases in three rows, then simply close all the loops.

We move on to knitting the third element of the hat - the visor, for knitting it we use yarn of a different color. The length of the visor will be 10-12 stitches, which will be closed at the same time in the last row.

Every young mother is interested in knitting hats for children from 0 to 3 years old with descriptions and patterns. After giving birth to a child or even during pregnancy, you have to acquire clothes for a newborn or not yet born baby. The key point here is hats for the little ones. They can be purchased, but it is much more pleasant to knit them yourself - this way the parents really care. Knitting hats for children from 0 to 3 years old is not so difficult - it is only important to choose the optimal model and learn the technique.

Newborn cap

Knitting for children begins with caps for newborns, which are required upon discharge from the maternity hospital in any weather - be it summer or harsh winter, one standard model of a knitted cap will do. The only difference here is the choice of yarn. For summer, it is better to choose cotton with acrylic or a special soft weave - it is important that the hat is soft. If we are talking about winter, then choose 100% acrylic yarn - provided that it is put directly on the baby’s head. Hats with added wool are worn only on the inner textile cap. Doctors themselves do not recommend wearing wool clothes on newborns - this can cause allergies.

Knitting a hat for children from 0 to 6 months is performed in the following sequence:

  1. Buy yarn - 100 grams of yarn with the volume of thread for knitting needles No. 3 is enough. Prepare knitting needles No. 3, you can use No. 4 - then the fabric will be loose and suitable for the summer version.
  2. For example, it will be described knitted cap using knitting needles No. 3-3.5. Therefore, only 70 loops are cast on with yarn.
  3. For a better fit of the fabric to the head, knit 8 rows with a 1x1 elastic band.
  4. Next, switch to stocking or garter stitch and knit another 20 rows. Do not close the loops, but break the thread. The result will be a canvas for the oval of the child’s head.
  5. Now start knitting the back of the cap. Carefully divide the fabric into two parts using the second knitting needle. Transfer, without knitting, to right knitting needle 25 loops. Attach a thread between the loops placed on the knitting needles for further knitting.
  6. Knit 19 stitches with the attached thread. Make a connection between the back and left side parts by knitting the 20th loop of the back part together with the first loop of the left side with a purl loop.
  7. Turn the work over and repeat the same method of connecting the parts. It turns out that only 20 loops of the back part are knitted, and the side loops are knitted like edge loops with purl loops.
  8. The rads are knitted in a similar way until there are 3 loops left on the side parts.
  9. The last 3 loops of the side parts are knitted using the same technique, only the loops of the back part are knitted 2 together according to the pattern - this is necessary to tighten the bottom edge of the hat for a newborn.

Finally, tie the ties for the hat. This can be done in two ways - crocheting or knitting. The ties are crocheted, catching the loops of the corners of the cap. After grabbing, crochet and attached thread air loops to the required length of ties. Make a rise and knit one row with single crochets to the captured loops at the beginning of knitting. When finished, make a connection with the main fabric, tear off the thread and hide it.

If you don’t have any knowledge of crocheting, you can use the same knitting needles. To do this, use knitting needles to grab the same corner loops of the resulting cap. The optimal number of loops is 4, where 2 will be on the edge loops. 4 loops strung on knitting needles are knitted in garter stitch to the required string length. You can resort to knitting in stocking stitch - only in this case the ties will twist in a spiral due to the low density of the resulting “fabric”.

This technique with a standard description of hats for newborns, which can be used for knitting products for children under 1 year old. At older ages, slightly different models are used - more complex, but attractive.

Hat for a child from 1 to 2 years old

Hats for children under 2 years old may be more fashionable, but with the obligatory presence of “ears”. Such “ears” with ties are required to prevent the headdress from being taken off during a walk - children at this age refuse to wear hats, so a child sitting in a stroller can take off the hat immediately after putting it on again.

A standard hat for children under 2 years old with a description and diagrams can be found on the Internet. But for beginners, the following simple description of the headdress is offered:

  1. Take yarn with a gauge for knitting needles No. 3 or 3.5. Prepare knitting needles with the stated size and start knitting for the next example.
  2. Cast on 7 stitches on the knitting needles - 2 of them are edge stitches. Knit 26 rows in garter stitch, adding 2 stitches on each knit row. The addition of loops is carried out after the edge and before it by knitting from 2 loops - 3 loops. To do this, remove the edge, knit one loop, make a stretch of fabric between the two involved loops, knit the 3rd loop. This way you won't get the holes that are typical for adding holes. The result will be 33 loops.
  3. The resulting canvas is an “ear”. It is not removed from the working needle, the loops are not closed. Just move the fabric aside and knit a second one in the same way on the same knitting needle.
  4. The resulting “ears” are combined in the 27th row into one fabric - knit the first 33 loops, cast on 10 loops on the knitting needles, knit the second 33 loops.
  5. Knit with a turn in garter stitch. In each 4th row of the front row, make a standard increase in stitches. In the same way, add a total of 8 loops - make 4 additions in the fabric. As a result, there are 84 loops on the knitting needles.
  6. Now you should connect the ears with knitting the forehead line. To do this, knit the entire fabric - 84 loops, cast on another 16 loops, connect the fabric, getting rid of the edge ones by simply knitting loops.
  7. Next, the hat is knitted in the round - there will be only 100 stitches on working knitting needles. Knit in a similar way to almost the entire height of the head - it is better to measure directly on the child. Approximately 26-34 rows will be required.
  8. Subsequently, decreases are carefully made. To do this, knitted 100 loops are divided into an equal number of sections. For example, 100 loops can be divided into 10 sections.
  9. Decreases are carried out in the standard way - by knitting 2 loops together, knit or purl, as follows from the drawing and the selected knitting pattern. Carry out decreases at the end of each division into parts - knit together the last 2 loops of the part. Decreases are made in each front row, that is, after two rows.
  10. Decrease stitches in this way to the remaining 10 stitches on the knitting needle. Cut a thread 15 cm long from the ball and connect the remaining loops - stretch the thread cut from the ball through all the loops. Pull the thread so that there is no gap left between the loops.
  11. Hide the thread in the canvas. Additionally, make a pompom and attach it to the top of the head - this will further hide the gap between the remaining loops.

This is a simple standard knitting cap for children under 2 years old with a description. Knitting ties for “ears” is carried out in the manner described above. The model is suitable for beginners, but experienced needlewomen can use more complex knitting of hats for babies.

Hat for children 3 years old

Knitted hats for children 3 years old can be knitted without ties. There are many models of similar knitting, but it is enough to use more simple models for boys and girls.

Hat for girls

Knit your young fashionista a hat with imitation cat ears. Girls are simply delighted with the models presented, and mothers who are novice knitters will gain incomparable experience in knitting modern patterns.

So, take the thread and suitable circular knitting needles. Follow these steps:

The result is a ready-made hat for a girl, where cat ears are made at the end. Tie belts with thread for tying or use special threads with tassels for sewing and knitting. Grab the corners of the cap and tie them with thread at the same distance from the top of the corner to get ears of the same size. Make sure that the ears do not exceed the permissible size - otherwise, the finished hat will rise, as a result of which the child’s ears are constantly exposed.

You can knit a hat for a boy in a similar way. Only in this case, the cap is put on across - an imitation of a dragon's scallop is created, which was fashionable earlier and is popular now.

Boy's hat

You can provide a knitting cap with a description for a boy separately. For more simple option a standard cap without ties is used, which experienced craftswomen decorated using complex patterns on the main canvas. Braids work best for this, but you can decorate it using two contrasting threads to get a striped rainbow pattern.

Knitting a hat for a 3-year-old boy is carried out in the following way:

  1. Take a thread and suitable knitting needles, knit a sample, bring it to a “finished” state, perform standard calculations to determine the knitting density.
  2. After completing the calculations, start knitting - cast on the knitting needles the required number of loops.
  3. Knit 8-12 rows with 1x1 rib. You can use a 2x2 elastic band if the yarn is thin and you get a characteristic “ripple” on the elastic.
  4. Now move on to knitting the main pattern for the hat. The number of loops for knitting a hat should be calculated taking into account the repeat of the selected pattern. If garter or stockinette stitch is used, the number of stitches is determined only taking into account the density of the yarn and knitting needles.
  5. Having knitted the main fabric almost to the height of the child’s head, they begin to decrease the loops. To do this, the number of loops is divided into equal sections. If this is not possible, send most of it to the occipital region with a seam.
  6. Decrease occurs in each front row of the hat - at the end of each part, 2 loops are knitted together according to the picture. If you use simple stockinette stitch, decrease only at the back or front walls. It is important to create a neat knitting of the crown - let it create a characteristic “spiral” pattern.
  7. When there are 8-10 loops left on the knitting needles, a 30 cm long thread is cut from the ball. Make a join by pulling the thread through the remaining loops and tightening them at the end - taking into account the necessary absence of gaps between the loops.
  8. Sew the edge loops with a needle and the remaining cut thread. You can use a crochet hook by decreasing knitted fabric knitting needles

It is better to use a pompom as a decoration for such a hat for a boy - when attaching it, the loops on the top of the head will be additionally tightened. This model is often made striped, and during stripes with changing colors, a change in pattern is used. For example, the main fabric is knitted with blue thread and stockinette stitch. Add white stripes using garter stitch on the main fabric. The canvas will visually gather like an accordion, which looks interesting and attractive.

It is important to note that when using certain patterns for knitting hats, it is necessary to first knit the appropriate samples to correctly calculate the number of loops. Without preliminary calculations, you can make a mistake with the size and the product will turn out small. When knitting in the round, you cannot correct a mistake.

When knitting hats for children from birth to 3 years old, you can use the given patterns, technologies and descriptions. It is recommended to add your own imagination to standard knitting techniques in order to make your child an individual personality and just a happy person.

Nowadays, the retail chain is filled with a variety of children's goods, both sewn and knitted, industrially knitted on special machines. These are various children's sweaters and pullovers, scarves and hats. But it’s not always possible to find the model you like on sale. Therefore, many mothers and grandmothers believe that a knitted hat is much better than a store-bought one.

Knitting is fun and interesting activity, which allows craftswomen to knit any items of clothing or accessories. In this lesson we will look at how to knit a hat for a boy.

To make a summer, autumn, winter or spring hat for a boy, you will need a drawing diagram with a detailed description.

The cap can be embroidered with any symbols, or decorated with applique. Winter hats for boys can be knitted with ears, or even in the shape of a helmet, to keep the boy warm.
At the beginning of the lesson, we will look at how to knit a light summer hat, with which you can protect a boy’s head from the scorching sun. For each model in the lesson there is a diagram with a description.

To determine the size of the hat, before starting knitting, we recommend taking measurements. Knowing the size, you can calculate the required number of loops and knit a hat of the model you like.

Openwork summer hat for little ones

A light openwork knitted hat well protects the boy's head from overheating in the sun. At the same time summer model must be knitted from yarn, which necessarily includes cotton or linen.

The yarn you see in the photo includes cotton, acrylic and polyamide. To knit an openwork hat for a boy, you need to use knitting needles No. 2.5, and the density of the fabric is 2.3 loops in 1 centimeter (cm). Knitting a hat size 46-48 can be made from 50 grams of this yarn.

We take a measurement of the boy's head circumference and knit a sample to calculate the loops (P). The repeat of the “Wave” pattern with which we knit this model is 3.5 cm and contains 8 loops. If the head circumference is 46 cm, then 13 rapports will be needed.

Below is a diagram in the photo, with a further detailed description. The vertical line is a front loop (LR) in the front P, and a purl loop (IP) in the back P. The horizontal line has the opposite meaning. The black circle is a yarn over, and the down arrow is 3 loops along with a rearrangement.

These children's hats are sewn together with a knitted seam. It is recommended to sew hats for boys and girls with this seam because it is flat and therefore does not cause discomfort to the boy.

An openwork hat for a child turns out beautiful and comfortable.
