Cross stitch tree. Cross stitch of a money tree: patterns for improving well-being. Embroidering a picture on the wall

Embroidery as a talisman was considered by our ancestors as something sacred, possessing magical powers. It was applied to clothing and all household textiles, including bed linen. One of the main amulets among the Slavs was the tree of happiness, which they embroidered with a cross. It is a family talisman that protects against the evil eye and various negative influences.

Many needlewomen embroider and place the product in a frame in order to hang the finished work in a prominent place in the house. In this article, you will learn how to make a real tree planted in a flowerpot out of beautiful embroidery.

To do this you will need a certain list of materials:

  • suitable scheme;
  • floss threads with a needle;
  • hoop and scissors;
  • embroidery canvas;
  • flowerpot;
  • padding polyester with various decorative materials for decoration;
  • gypsum solution.

Study the diagram and symbolism on it. Each pattern has its own direct purpose. You can embroider in one color or in a whole palette of shades. The lesson contains an example in a single-color solution.

When the embroidery of the canvas is finished, place its front side on a piece of cotton. Then sew the workpiece in such a way that it looks like a small pillow, reminiscent in shape of the edges of a deciduous tree. Turn it inside out and stuff it with padding polyester. The edges of the “lucky” craft are decorated with all kinds of decorative materials. These can be beads, beads, various ruffles.

Do not sew up the workpiece stuffed with padding polyester completely. Leave some space at the bottom to insert a varnished wooden trunk.
Dilute plaster with water in equal proportions and pour into the prepared pot. Insert a wooden stick into it, on which a synthetic pad was previously installed. In addition to everything, the finished craft can also be decorated with pendants and bows.

Embroidering a picture

If you want to decorate a wall in your house with a tree of happiness, then we suggest you cross-stitch a pattern from a ready-made kit that can be purchased in the store. Even beginner craftswomen will enjoy this embroidery. All colors of floss used are indicated in the key to the pattern.

The finished embroidery is decorated with decorative material, for example, gold coins with bows. So the tree not only protects the family, but also brings financial well-being to the house. This picture using the cross technique can be given as a gift.

The next “Cross Stitch” lesson on ribbon embroidery is devoted to return stitches, thanks to which the outline of a design is embroidered, for example, a tree trunk, the handle of a flower basket, an inscription, etc.

The beauty of the return stitch is that it is quite voluminous and beautiful, and can be used not only in embroidering pictures, but also in edging any decorative item, for example, boxes, pillows, bags, etc.

The return stitch in ribbon embroidery is a kind of “backstitch” seam, familiar to embroiderers as “backstitch”. Its essence is to outline, outline, add realism and completeness to the embroidered image.

There are 3 types of return stitch, let's look at each of them in more detail.

An example of the possible use of the return stitch when embroidering the outline of a basket

In addition to embroidering the outline of the main design, this stitch is often used to fill the space between embroidery elements.

1. Pull the attached tape to the front side at point A.

2. Go back to point B and pull the ribbon through the wrong side again at point A.

3. Stretch the ribbon and repeat step 2 from point C. The embroidery goes from left to right. When working, do not tighten the tape; it should lie freely.

4. After the last stitch, pull the ribbon to the wrong side and secure it.

5. The stitch is ready.

The tree trunk and the surface of the earth would look more voluminous and neater,
if they were embroidered with a return stitch

The inscription is embroidered with a simple return stitch

This stitch is more voluminous than a simple return stitch. To do it, when working, you need to twist the tape with each stitch, as shown in the figure.

The handle of the basket is embroidered with a twisted return stitch

The trunk and branches of the coin tree are embroidered with a simple ribbon stitch:

The trunk of a real tree is covered with grooves:

Therefore, for greater realism, it is better to embroider the trunk and branches of trees using a twisted return stitch.

It is also quite appropriate to embroider a topiary trunk using a twisted return stitch.

Ears of corn are a perfect example of where to use the twisted return stitch.

For this type of backstitch you will need two colors of ribbon. If the second tape is narrower, you will get a very interesting “barrier” stitch. It can also be used to embroider the outline of the main design or the edging of any textile product.

1. Repeat Easy Backstitch Steps 1-4 to make a base for the wrap stitch.

2. Start wrapping a different color ribbon around the main stitch from right to left.

3. Help yourself with a needle, straightening the ribbon, it should be flat.

The money tree is a Chinese symbol that attracts wealth into the home. It refers to the direction of Feng Shui, which is the philosophy of the correct arrangement of furniture and objects in the apartment. Needlewomen make this tree from a variety of materials; if you know how to embroider, then it will not be difficult for you to depict this symbol on a piece of canvas. Today we will talk about all the nuances of embroidering this Chinese symbol of prosperity.

Cross-stitching a money tree should follow all the rules of Feng Shui. Otherwise, this home amulet will not have magical powers.

In Feng Shui, everything is important, the number of coins or banknotes, their size and location in the picture. To prevent a cross-stitched money tree from becoming just a picture, it is necessary to take into account all the nuances.

Rules for embroidering a money tree:

  1. The best numbers from a Feng Shui point of view are nine, eleven and fourteen, so this is the number of fruits that should be on the money tree. Moreover, there must be exactly nine paper bills, and metal coins can be taken in any positive quantity.
  2. Flowers and fruits can be embroidered on such a plant only in odd numbers. At the same time, it is strictly forbidden to embroider one flower or fruit.
  3. The most favorable days for embroidering a money tree are the 14th lunar day. It is during this period that the moon is especially predisposed to wealth.

Fulfillment of these conditions is the key to the action of the embroidered amulet to attract wealth. And although many are skeptical about this culture, Chinese sages are confident in the veracity of their philosophy.

Money tree embroidery pattern using coins

First of all, you need to prepare all the necessary accessories for embroidery. These are a hoop, floss threads, scissors, an embroidery needle, canvas and the coins themselves.

Coins can be purchased at craft stores and usually have holes already made in them. If you haven’t found any, then you can take money of the same size by drilling holes in them with a hand drill.

Instructions describing cross-stitching a money tree:

  1. First, a tree trunk is embroidered with brown threads; it must be strong and beautiful to withstand all the wealth.
  2. Then you need to decorate the crown of the tree with green threads; you can embroider it entirely or fill only the spaces between the coins.
  3. Next comes the turn of flowers and fruits.
  4. The last to be sewn onto the picture are the coins. They should be evenly distributed throughout the tree crown. Take coins in quantities of 9, 11 or 14 pieces. You need to sew the coins tightly, using the holes drilled in them.

The finished work must be framed and hung on the wall. We will talk about what place to choose for this later.

If you can’t find real money, you can embroider it on the picture with gold thread.

You can find a free pattern here or purchase a ready-made set in the store; by the way, such sets usually already include coins with hieroglyphs.

Cross-stitched money tree: pattern with paper bills

It is not necessary to make a tree with metal coins; you can use paper bills. In this case, they need to be folded like an accordion and tied in the middle. Using a thread that binds money, you can sew a bill to a tree.

Many people advise using artificial money, however, to attract real wealth, it is better to sew on real banknotes.

When embroidering a tree that will be filled with paper fans made of money, you can depict only the trunk with a cross. Nine fans (that’s how many there should be on the tree) will fill the entire crown. To make the work more aesthetically pleasing, you can sew small coins or long golden beads around the design.

Where to hang money tree cross stitch

It is important not only to embroider a tree, but also to place the picture according to all the rules. If you hang a tree in the wrong place, it will not have any magical effect. On the other hand, if you are embroidering such a design for decorative purposes, then it is not necessary to follow any rules.

A tree with paper bills and metal coins are hung in different parts of the house.

A picture with paper money can only be hung on the southeast side of the house. This is the only way the painting will have maximum effect.

It is better to place a money tree with metal coins in the northern part of the apartment. In this case, the picture should be located opposite the door.

The money tree is a Chinese amulet of wealth and prosperity. Embroider it according to all the rules, and prosperity and wealth will come to your home!

Today I want to deviate a little from the usual idea of embroidery and go “to the left” of the main topic.

Have you heard that there is embroidery that fulfills wishes?

The fact is that about four years ago I read on the Internet that if you dream of a car, embroider it, a house means a house, etc. I was lonely and decided to embroider a man. For about two months I looked everywhere for a pattern that I liked. And I found it... On the Internet. True, no one explained to me that I needed to embroider a pair. A man and a woman. I embroidered an athlete, but only one. Yes, I found my man. Yes, I got married. But he is in another country. Far. And I seem to be married, but at the same time alone. Unfortunately…

Therefore, any scheme, like a thing, must be chosen correctly.

Now, probably, every person knows that every thing carries its own energy. Therefore, I decided to talk about the correct choice of topics for schemes and where such a belief came from for each topic (by the way, absolutely true: our ancestors were not stupid).

Those who feel a lack of finances are advised to embroider a money tree. But! It must be embroidered correctly and in the correct place. For example, my tree “didn’t work” for a trivial reason.

Firstly, my mother embroidered it (she didn’t know what to give me and she wanted to give me such a gift), and you only need to embroider it yourself to make your dream come true (you are embroidering your dream, after all). Secondly, she started embroidering it on Tuesday, but it must be done on Women’s Day: Wednesday or Friday (in no case is Saturday, because in the Bible Saturday is considered the seventh day, a day of rest, and God does not fulfill desires for which you sinned). The third condition on the tree should not be an even number of coins, but I have 12 of them - according to the number of months in the year. The next condition is that money loves three colors: red, yellow and green. If at least one of these colors is missing: do not expect profit. And lastly: the picture should be located in the “money corner” - the east. I also did not fulfill this condition - the concrete walls of the apartment do not allow it.
Therefore, if you need financial stability, first perform a ritual. On Tuesday at 15.00, write your “money wish” on a piece of paper and the deadline for its fulfillment (do not forget about the speed (time) in which you will have time to complete this work) and on Wednesday sit down to embroider, and put the piece of paper in a visible place and keep it for now don't frame the picture. Don’t forget to also purchase the necessary tools in advance (the needle must be new and hidden inside behind the back wall when decorating the frame), threads, embroidery fabric, etc. The frame must be in the above “money” colors.

Here's a money tree pattern for cross stitch: several options

Option 2.

Option 3.

But here’s an interesting idea - a pattern for embroidering a dollar, which almost everyone associates with prosperity.

Remember that until the work is completely framed (framed), it will never bring you the fulfillment of your desires (dreams). This applies to any picture. And lastly, after the work is hung on the wall: burn the paper and throw the ashes under your window.

It so happened that almost simultaneously, with a difference of one day, two mini-kits for cross stitch on wood fell into my hands. The principle is the same: cross stitch is done on a wooden piece with holes. But the quality of the sets varied.

When we were returning from, at the airport in Qatar I bought CrossStitcher magazine No. 282 (August 2014). The magazine came with a gift - a mini-kit for cross-stitching a pendant in the shape of a butterfly. The set contains a wooden blank, thread, a needle and a pair of laces. Design by Angela Poole. The embroidery blank is made of thin plywood, the holes are large, uneven, and correspond to Aida 12 ct canvas. The embroidery was done in 3 threads. Due to the fact that the holes are uneven, the thread sometimes frayed and became frayed. I covered the wrong side of the pendant with a piece of felt, which I glued with Moment Gel glue.

The day after returning from vacation, at the “Atmosphere of Creativity” exhibition, I bought another mini-kit for cross-stitching on a wooden blank - a brooch in the shape of an owl from Dasha Skobelkina. Dasha began producing wood embroidery kits under the “Wonderful Cherry” brand. The set includes a wooden blank for embroidery, floss, a needle, a diagram, a brooch pin and a piece of felt to cover the back. The embroidery blank is very neat, with small, even holes, so the thread does not fray during operation, unlike the previous set. I sewed the brooch pin to the felt, which is glued to the wrong side of the embroidery.

In general, the owl turned out to be very interesting. Even when we were flying to Qatar, I had my eye on a soft toy owl. I just fell for her, this rarely happens to me. I decided that I would buy it on the way back - I wouldn’t drag it along with me. But upon returning to Qatar, this owl was not found - we walked around the entire airport up and down several times. Upset. And the next day I got an owl from Dasha. Just like that :)
