A ball of CDs. Master class Crafts New Year's product Modeling design Balls and a lamp from MK CDs Computer disks. #4 Christmas tree decoration from old CDs: DIY Christmas crafts from CDs

New Year holidays are approaching. It's time to get out of the mezzanine New Year's toys, rain, serpentine. Every New Year's toy is a piece family history. However, there are such New Year's balls that it would be a shame to throw them away ( family heirloom), and I don’t really want to hang it on the Christmas tree. These are the types of balls that I propose to “reanimate,” that is, give them a modern look.

To do this, you don’t need to buy expensive varnishes and paints, or special decorations. All you need is:

  • old christmas balls
  • old unnecessary computer disks;
  • scissors;
  • glue (better for fabric and leather, but PVA can also be used)
  • protective gloves for hands.

DIY New Year's ball made from old disks:

The discs must first be stratified - simply put, tear off the transparent circle. Then cut the disk into small arbitrary pieces - squares are best.

Paste over New Year's ball We'll be from top to bottom. Lubricate a small area of the ball with glue, and carefully begin gluing the pieces of the disk. It doesn't matter if there are small gaps left. You can seal them later, or you can leave them like that. Each glued area should dry well, and only after that should you apply glue to the next section of the New Year's ball. It is worth noting that glue for leather and fabric dries quickly, so the work progresses very quickly. When the entire New Year's ball is covered, it must be dried thoroughly.

After this, all that remains is to decorate the New Year's ball from old CDs with ribbon and hang it on the tree. Shiny surface of disc pieces on New Year's ball perfectly reflects light and looks impressive in spruce branches.

We very rarely make crafts from CDs, this is due to the fact that they are quite difficult and not a universal material. It is difficult to come up with a master class with discs, and then successfully implement it, and even one that everyone will like. But I still decided to create a small craft that will be interesting to many and will be needed for the holidays to decorate their homes. I'll tell you how to make a ball out of CDs with your own hands. The master class is not easy, so it is not suitable for children; mostly men do this, but sometimes women too. A similar ball of disks can be hung on or next to it on a cornice; in a word, such a craft will certainly decorate your holiday and lift your spirits.

Material for creating a ball from disks:

- CD discs.
— A drill with a very thin drill bit.
- Wire cutters.
- Glue gun.
- Wire.
— Rain (New Year’s decoration).
— Marker.
— Paper template.

We have prepared everything we need.

We place the paper blank on the disk and mark each vertex with a marker on the disk.

Drill holes at the marks. Do everything evenly and clearly so that all the discs come together.

We connect the disks to each other using wire, just like on a homemade product. We wrap it tightly so that our ball does not fall apart later. First we make two parts, each with one disk in the center and five more surrounding it.

We combine the two halves of the ball and also fasten them with wire.

When the main work with the disks is done, let's start decorating the ball. I chose the appropriate rain color for each disc. Use a hot glue gun to glue the rain onto the disks.

It looks very nice. First, we glue rain onto the edges of the discs.

Distribute the colors so that they match each other.

At the end, we decorate the middle of each disk, take a small piece of rain and glue it into the central hole. As for the color scheme, use your own imagination, either the same color or a different one for variety.

We got such an original, shiny and beautiful ball, and even made it with our own hands.

And if you want to keep your kids busy with similar crafts, then teach them how to create them. And also try yourself with new materials, for example, create or. Good luck sharing!

We mark the disks.

Drill holes according to the markings.

Now we connect the disks with a wire (we do this on fabric so that the disk is less scratched). We try to twist it more tightly so that the ball does not move around later. I do everything first with inside(although if you do it with the outside, you won’t be able to see it later anyway, but I don’t like it that way), the last three knots have to be knitted from the outside, and the tip carefully bent inward.

The base is ready.

Now comes the fun part! We warm up the pistol. We think in advance about how to arrange the colors on the ball. This time I took 6 different colors. On the old one I have three colors and I made them in pairs. Whoever likes it. The gun has warmed up, place scissors and garlands nearby. I glue it at 10 points - where the wire is and between. From experience, it’s more convenient for me to smear and glue two points at a time, maybe you’re more dexterous and can get three or four at once))))

We make sure everything is as planned color combination, otherwise you can get carried away))))

When we glue everything around the perimeter, we start working on the centers. You can do it like mine, in a contrasting color, you can do it the same, or you can take small ones Christmas balls and paste them in the center

We make a rope (string, wrap it in a garland, or several strings) and solemnly take it to show to children, husbands, parents. With a wide satisfied smile, we listen to their oohs and aahs, and praise ourselves -beloved)))))

Starting over the weekend, I was simply drawn into this exciting activity. And it all started with the fact that my child and I needed to make a couple Christmas decorations For street tree, which (more precisely for 2 Christmas trees) grows in the courtyard of the kindergarten. And then it began.....I scoured the Internet looking for ideas and eventually found what you see now. Unfortunately, I didn’t find such a MK on our favorite site (if it already exists, then I apologize - I didn’t intend to plagiarize, and therefore I admit that it wasn’t me who came up with this, but I’m just embodying what I saw on other sites)

Preparing materials:
1. old and unnecessary CDs (12 discs are needed for one ball)
2. Soldering iron with a sharp tip (I think you can somehow do without it, but with this device it will work faster)
3. Glue gun
4. Wire
5. Tinsel (I used thin) - approximately 4 meters
6. Good mood and time is about 40 minutes

STEP 1: cut out a template - a pentagon with sides approximately 6.5 - 7 cm. We will need it for the next step

STEP2: apply our template to the disk and, using a soldering iron, make 5 holes in the disk corresponding to the corners of the pentagon. And so with all 12 discs

Step3: cut the wire. In the future, we will use this wire to fasten our parts together.

Step4: We begin to assemble the ball. The ends of the wire look towards the underside of our future ball. Then we begin to connect the outer 5 disks to each other (see arrows)

It turns out like this (looks like a vase)

Step 6: place the second row of disks in a checkerboard pattern relative to the first row. and then we close everything with the last (12th) disk. Our ball is ready. You can decorate with tinsel.

My brother, seeing the ball, suggested putting a light bulb inside and I liked this idea. This is where my experiment began. Only instead of a light bulb, inside I placed a New Year's garland of many small light bulbs before connecting the last disk to the parts. Plugged it in and.....

VOILA!
True, my “point-and-shoot” camera, which dares to call itself a digital camera, still does not know how to photograph garlands and other lighting effects well. Therefore, the quality of the photo (even though it turned out at all) - I apologize - is not so great. BUT it's still fascinating.

For now it stands like this.....without decoration. BUT I don’t know - is it worth adding tinsel to this lamp at all or leaving it like that? How do you think?
I DON’T like winter because I have to get up in the morning when it’s already dark outside. But today I’m even a little happy about it. Perhaps I will be able to wake up the child early tomorrow and surprise him with such an unusual New Year's lamp. And at the same time take a couple more photos

And this is this morning, on the way to Kindergarten the child happily agreed to pose with the balloons. In the morning we gave them to the teachers. Our group is located next to the kitchen. SO - while we were walking, the cooks turned their heads, then they came running to look... And the children from the street saw us and shouted to the teacher, “Look, Vladik is carrying something beautiful.” In general, everyone is happy. And as always, we brought them on time: one of these days a commission will come to the kindergarten with an inspection. We were offered to participate in a competition with them, but I, being honest, refused. Because the child did not take part in their creation, and we have another idea in stock - especially for the competition (it is important for me that the child also works.
