To record and plan employment of the population, the government approved production calendar for 2020. This is an official document that is of interest to both citizens and employers. Thanks to it, you can find out in advance how much and when you will have to work or rest next year.

A document that synchronizes labor activities throughout the country and is a guide for calculating any payments related to official employment is called a production calendar. In other words, this is an annual working time schedule compiled for Russia.

In this document:

  • the dates of public holidays that are declared non-working days are marked and fixed;
  • pre-holiday days are marked, when the working day is reduced by 1 hour;
  • additional weekends postponed by government decree are fixed as non-working days.

Standards vary in terms of the amount of work and rest time. The differences are related to the characteristics of the permissible professional load in individual employment segments. Standards are established based on the impact of work activity on human health.

How we will relax in 2020

Official non-working days are 2 days off weekly, 8 holidays, plus New Year holidays.

The work calendar for 2020 looks like this:

  • Russians have 248 days to work and 118 days to rest.
  • January and May are short months (we work 17 days, rest 14).
  • February, March, June, November each have 1 additional day off due to public holidays.

Labor legislation in Russia allows for the approval of additional days off and holidays at the regional level. The authorities have the right to celebrate memorable historical events and religious holidays with rest.

Transfers of days off

How will we relax next year? In the event that a holiday coincides with a weekend, the government postpones it by special decree. The 2020 calendar with holidays and weekends is no exception.

The government plans to move the double days of rest, since they are part of the general New Year holidays, to the May holidays (Monday 4 and Tuesday 5 May). Thus, workers receive “spring holidays” lasting 5 days (from May 1 to May 5).

In May there is another postponement of the holiday - Victory Day falls on Saturday and the government added Monday May 11th. Thus, in 2020, May is shorter in terms of working hours than the traditionally easy January. In May the norm is 135 hours (shortened by an hour on Friday, May 8), in January it is 136.

Working Russians will be lucky to have extra days off in February-March. February 23 and March 8 fall on a Sunday, which gives Russians the opportunity to rest on Monday. Both pre-holiday dates fall on Saturday, so there are no shortened days during these months.

Note! The approved production calendar for 2020 will appear in the fall (usually in October), when an official government decree regarding the postponement of holidays is issued. Now we are talking about the production calendar project.

Production calendar for 2020 for five days

In Russia, the basis is 5 days a week with a working time norm of 40 hours. However, the employer has the right to approve a different work schedule if it does not completely contradict the approved standards. With a 6-day week, the working day is shortened by 1.5 hours. School day at school at 2.

Additional time (overtime) is paid at increased rates. The guideline is either a period of more than 8 hours, or total overtime, if labor is taken into account on a sliding schedule.

Note! The working time schedule (A4 format) is an official document, drawn up monthly and approved in advance.

Working time standards

Working hours are calculated based on the standards approved for each month. Working days vary depending on the work rate per week.

There are three official options for 5 days:

  • main – 40 hours in 5 days (8 hours daily);
  • 36 hours per week – 7.2 hours daily (with a six-day week 6);
  • 24 hours a week – 4.8 hours daily.

The official production calendar contains employment standards detailed for each month. It is used by HR and accounting departments to draw up work schedules and payroll sheets.

Week numbering in 2020

Traditionally, the weeks of the year are counted from Monday to Sunday. The production calendar for 2020 takes into account full and partial weeks as equivalent units. The year will be a leap year, which means there are 366 days. January begins with an incomplete week, December also ends with one incomplete week.

Numbering begins on Wednesday, January 1st. The year ends on Thursday, December 31st. There are 53 working weeks in total.

The 2020 calendar for a five-day work week is presented with all official holidays, weekends, shortened days before holidays and taking into account government-approved transfers. 2020 has 366 days, a leap year, 248 working days and 118 weekends, including 8 public holidays. The year begins on Wednesday and ends on Thursday.

Many people associate the onset of a leap year with superstitions and expect bad news, events, and disasters from it. However, as usual, for most this will be a normal period of time with its joys and sorrows. It will be filled with weekdays, holidays and weekends. Based on the preliminary production calendar, we can conclude that in 2020 there will be 248 working days and 118 days off, including 8 holidays. In total, instead of the usual 365 days a year, in 2020 there will be 366.

Official holidays and public holidays

The fact that , does not have any effect on official holidays. No holidays will be canceled or added. Even the three hundred and sixty-sixth day, December 31st, will fall on Thursday and will be a regular working day. The only difference is work time will be shortened by one hour, filled with the smell of tangerines, the expectation of a miracle, hopes and joy.

All Russian holidays in 2020, according to tradition, there will be eight:

  • The first is celebrated on January 1st, it will fall on Wednesday.
  • Just 6 days later, on January 7, the Russians...
  • The next red date is dedicated to the defenders of the Fatherland. The men will be congratulated on Sunday, February 23.
  • March 8, decorated with flowers and smiles, will also fall on the last day of the week.
  • Residents of Russia will have 2 holidays in May. Spring and Labor Day is celebrated on the first day of May. A week later, on May 9, cities and villages will be decorated with banners and portraits of people who gave their lives for the Victory. On this special day, residents will be able to watch parades and concerts dedicated to the power of the people.
  • The busy first half of the year will end on June 12th. After this, the Russians are waiting long summer and almost the whole autumn without official holidays. Only on November 4 will it be the turn of National Unity Day. He will be the last public holiday 2020.

Many regions observe official holidays. They are associated with important historical dates, events, religious celebrations.

Weekend calendar for 2020

Thanks to the peculiarities of the calendar and the accepted transfer rules, it will be possible to enjoy six long weekends. There will be eight national red dates in total. The regions are additionally introducing their own celebrations, accompanied by recreation.

In 2020, Russia is expected to have 248 working days and 118 weekends.

Weekends in Russia

In total, in 2020, people whose work schedule is based on a five-day week will have 118 days off. This number includes holidays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Russians are especially fond of the so-called long weekends. They appear when the official red date falls on Saturday, Sunday or a day adjacent to them - Friday or Monday.

An accurate production calendar will be formed in the third quarter of 2019. Only on the basis of the relevant Government Decree will it be possible to determine the exact number of days off. According to preliminary information, residents of Russia will have several long weekends:

  • The New Year holidays will last 8 days, from the first to the eighth of January. Perhaps two extra days, falling on January 4th and 5th will be transferred to the May holidays.
  • In February, Russians have 3 days off at the end of the month - from 22 to 24.
  • In March, the same number of rest days will fall on the 7th-9th.
  • Previously, at the beginning of May, you will be able to take a break from work from the 1st to the 4th. You can enjoy the same number of days of freedom, spring, and warm days from May 9 to May 12.
  • In the month following May, residents of Russia will rest for another 3 days - from June 12 to 14.

According to preliminary information, there will be no more long weekends until the end of 2020.

Postponement of holidays and weekends

The specificity of the holiday calendar is the possibility of transferring rest days if the official red dates coincide with Saturday or Sunday. In this case, the government takes measures to optimize working hours. This allows holidays to be a little longer, employees to rest longer, and to work more efficiently.

The transfer of holidays in 2020 will be carried out in compliance with several rules:

  • If one working day falls between Sunday and a holiday, it is moved to Saturday;
  • If an official holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, additional rest can be provided on any other day, including Monday.

Following these rules will allow you to get several additional days off: February 24, March 9, May 11. There will probably be two more: May 4 and May 12. They may be moved from the first Saturday and Sunday in January. If this happens, the year will be unique - with 5 transfers. Usually there are only three. If the government decides not to postpone January 4 and 5, Russians will have a twelve-day January holiday.

Shorter days in 2020

In addition to holidays and weekends, the Russian calendar also has shortened days. Working hours will be reduced by one hour. They precede only red dates. For example, before May Day, workers will work less on April 30, before May 9 - on May 8.

Working hours will also be reduced:

  • on the eve of Russia Day - June 11;
  • before National Unity Day - November 3;
  • on the eve of the New Year celebrations - December 31.

The following rule is important: if the red number falls on a Sunday, then working hours will not be reduced on Friday.

2020 according to the Eastern (Chinese) calendar is the year of the White Metal Rat

By eastern calendar 2020 - Year of the Rat

In the East, a calendar in which the years are combined into twelve-year cycles is very popular. Each year in such an eastern (Chinese) horoscope is named after a certain animal. According to Chinese mythology, people born in this year have the qualities of this animal.

In addition to animals, there are 5 more elements in the horoscope: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water. Every 12 years the animal returns, but now it will be a slightly different animal. If 12 years ago the Tiger was a Wood Tiger, now it will be a Fire Tiger, then an Earth Tiger, and so on.

Thus, the cycle is completely repeated only after 60 years. Each element slightly changes the character of the animal, and with it the character of the person.

Symbol of 2020 Chinese calendar there will be a Rat

People born under the sign of the Rat are purposeful and hardworking. They are thrifty, honest, but love to brag. They always finish what they start. Rats have an extraordinary appearance and do not like to deny themselves anything. They have many acquaintances, but few real friends.
